Risk
management is increasingly recognised as being
a core discipline for organisations and projects.
The benefits of risk management include the
avoidance of unnecessary or excessive risk, mitigation
of risks that are retained and the ability to capitalize
on opportunities in a risk efficient manner. Risk
management processes have to be sufficiently
simple and usable for them to be adopted widely within
teams, yet sufficiently sophisticated to produce reliable
risk assessment. Risk management has been
a core HVR business for more than 15 years. As a consequence,
we are able to provide specialists who :
-
Tailor the risk management process to the
requirements of the client.
- Integrate
qualitative and quantitative risk techniques.
- Are
able to carry out the role of risk manager or risk
analyst within the client’s team.
- Transfer
risk management skills to the client’s
organisation.
HVR
maintains regular contacts with other leading risk
management practitioners to ensure that it provides
clients with a service based on evolving best practice.
HVR contributions to professional forums include input
to the Association for Project Management’s
PRAM Guide and conference presentations and papers
authored by our consultants. HVR has also developed
a number of risk management tools. HVR products
such as REMIS, TRAM 2000 and the Top Down Risk Model
can be purchased by clients. Details of these and
products from other risk management specialists
can be found on the Risk Tools web site (www.risktools.co.uk).
